Heat up your winter holiday at Nacional 27, where drinks, dining and dancing make for a great date night. This Valentine’s Day weekend (February 10, 11, 13, 14), the River North restaurant and lounge will offer a special “Be My Valentine” menu.  Chef Chico Vilchez’s four courses include a selection of tapas, choice of soup or salad, entree and dessert for $49 per guest. Nacional 27’s mixologist, Liz Samples, has created four cocktails that may be paired with dinner for an additional $35.

Valentine’s Day at Due Lire

Italian Fare Set in an Intimate Atmosphere

Due Lire Vino & Cucina has the perfect atmosphere, ambiance and cuisine that diners’ seek out on Valentine’s Day. This cozy, Lincoln Square contemporary Italian restaurant will offer a special four course, prix fixe menu on Tuesday, February 14. From 5-10 p.m., guests may enjoy Chef Kevin Abshire’s multi-course meal for $45. The Valentine’s Day menu includes an appetizer, pasta, entree and dessert, with such selections as sunchoke and toasted hazelnut puree soup; creamy gorgonzola polenta with wild boar ragu and shaved horseradish; homemade celery root-filled pasta with caramelized wild mushroom and truffle butter; roasted pork loin with roasted potatoes and brussels sprout in a red wine demi; and homemade pear tart with hazelnut gelato and shaved dark chocolate.

Due Lire’s regular dinner menu will also be available in addition to the prix fixe. Proprietor Massimo Di Vuolo is happy to pair each course with wine, upon request. Reservations are recommended, please call the restaurant at 773-275-7878.

Valentine’s Day Dining at Cantina Laredo

Three Course Menu with Optional Tequila Cocktail Pairings

Friday, February 10 – Tuesday, February 14

$35 per person
$50 with tequila cocktail pairings

Cantina Laredo will offer a special three course meal with optional tequila cocktail pairings this Valentine’s Day weekend. Chef Larry Sinclair’s dinner menu features an array of modern Mexican dishes, such as creamy roasted red pepper soup, mango-jicama salad, crab and poblano enchiladas, pork tenderloin with casacabel pineapple sauce, filet mignon, strawberry bunuelos and chocolate cake. The prix fixe menu, priced at $35 per person (outlined below) will be available February 10-14.

Each dining guest participating in the prix fixe will have the option of adding tequila cocktails that perfectly pair with each course. For an additional $15, three drinks will be presented: Pomegranate Margarita with the starter course; Sunset Margarita with the entree course; and the Heart Warmer with the dessert course. The cocktail descriptions are also listed below.

Skip chocolates and flowers and give your date what they really wants this year – dinner and a show! This Valentine’s Day, Kit Kat Lounge & Supper Club will set the mood with a Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu, sexy songs by Diva Traci Ross and new “Love Potions of the Gods” martinis.

From February 10-14, Chef Mark Kasper will offer a Valentine’s Day Prix Fixe menu ($45 per person, plus tax and gratuity). The dinner features four exceptional courses and the “Love Potions of the Gods” martini of your choice (listed below). The dinner menu is outlined below; Kit Kat’s regular dinner menu will also be available upon request. Showstopper Traci Ross will perform betrothed ballads, heartbreak hits and romance-inducing tunes by Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Rihanna, Beyonce and more.

Single in the city this Valentine’s Day? Kit Kat will hold a “Stupid Cupid” singles party on Monday, February 13. Guests will enjoy a savvy 50-percent discount on their entire bill while mingling with potential mates. If you meet your match, be sure to share the “Cupid” martini, 32-ounces of Cruzan flavored rums and blend of fruit juices with a champagne float (comes complete with magic wand, $15).

Throughout January and February, a new martini menu will be available. The “Love Potions of the Gods” theme martinis, from Aphrodite and Artemis to Eros and Isis, may set the mood for seductive sipping. The martinis are outlined below.

Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club is open daily from 5:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Kit Kat’s Divas begin their performances at 7:30 p.m. Sunday Brunch takes places from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Valentine’s Day Dinner at Quince

Celebrate with Chef Motto’s Four Course Menu

For a romantic and intimate Valentine’s Day dinner, celebrate at Quince, located at The Homestead in the heart of Evanston. Executive Chef Andy Motto has prepared a special, four course dinner menu for Tuesday, February 14 (5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.). Guests will have the choice of a vegetarian option, as outlined below. The fee is $70 per guest, tax and gratuity excluded.

Wine director Scott Quint will be on hand to suggest wine pairings for the prix fixe menu. Quince also offers a variety of specialty cocktails, such as Whiskey Sunrise (rye whiskey, Grand Marnier, blood orange juice, vanilla simple syrup, dash of bitters, blood orange garnish, $11).

Each guest will receive a a complimentary glass of champagne to toast to their twosome.
