Bootlegger’s Ball: Vegas Edition

New Year’s Eve at The Red Canary

Vegas, baby. This year, The Red Canary’s annual “Bootlegger’s Ball” New Year’s Eve bash will have a bordello-like, Las Vegas spin to the spirited soiree. There will be two floors of (play money) casino gaming: two craps tables, three blackjack tables and one roulette table, complete with dealers. Each guest will receive $5,000 in gambling “money” upon arrival and the individual that collects the most winnings will be awarded an 42″ HD flat screen television (many other prizes will be given out throughout the night).

Complimentary passed appetizers and DJ-spun music will kick-off the high-energy evening at 9:00pm, which is also the time the premium open bar begins (package ends at 1:30am). The top shelf bar service will include Red Bull, premium liquors and cocktails, beer, wine and shots. When it’s time to ring in 2011, champagne will be served, along with roarin’ 20s party favors. The fee per couple is $125.

Chef de Comfort Neal Harper has created a pre-party, New Year’s Eve dinner menu that is only available to those attending the “Bootlegger’s Ball: Vegas Edition” event. Reservations may be made between the hours of 7:00 and 8:00pm. The three course menu is priced at $25 per guest. (Hint: this is a great way to secure a booth or table for the night!)

Multi-Course Dinner with Drinks, Live Music and Midnight Tequila Toast

ZOCALO Restaurant and Tequila Bar will ring in the new year with a dinner and drinks package that includes specialty cocktails, plus live music, DJ, dancing and a unique Midnight toast – tequila!

Offered at both 9:00pm and 9:30pm, the create-your-own, three course dinner ($65) will include:

Any appetizer, entree and dessert from the dinner menu including New Year’s Eve specials

Drinks (through Midnight)
Zocalo Margaritas (Herradura Blanco Tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice)
Tropical Margaritas (choose: Passion-Mango, Blood Orange, Prickly Pear or Hibiscus Flower)
Any Beer
Wine (house red, house white)

At 9:00pm, the live band “Picante World-Latin-Jazz Ensemble” and a DJ will begin to entertain celebrants with Afro-Cuban and Brazilian rhythms until 2:00am. At the clock strikes Midnight, a Don Julio tequila toast will be enjoyed along with party favors. A cash bar will be offered until 2:00am and Don Julio drink specials will be featured all night.

For those looking to simply enjoy cocktails and music, beginning at 9:00pm, a three-hour bar package will be available for $30 (includes the above noted cocktails through Midnight).

Dinner reservations will be available at 7:00pm and 7:30pm with the regular, a la carte dinner menu offered. Reservations for New Year’s Eve are recommended. Tax and gratuity is not included in the packages.
