Carb Up, Shamrock Shufflers: Half-Price Pasta at Frasca

The annual Shamrock Shuffle 8K is upon us once again. With a later start date this year, it’s possible participating runners won’t be shuffling through slushy snow and blustery temperatures as they have in the past.

What will be needed no matter the weather: endurance and energy that comes from carbs. Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar will prepare runners with half-price pasta on the two days prior to the race (April 8 and 9). Simply let your server know you’re participating in the race to receive the 50-percent discount.

Frasca Pizzeria and Wine Bar, the inviting Lakeview restaurant that is inspired by the charming gathering places for food and wine found throughout Italy, will host an informal, hands-on pizza cooking class led by Frasca owner Doug Dunlay at 6:30pm on Thursday, November 18.

Each “pizza pupil” will get to select the type of pizza they would like to make: the Margherita or the Pepperoni (ingredients below). Dunlay will share his secrets to Frasca’s famous crispy thin crusts and perfectly prepared toppings. Students will then, of course, get to sample their work, accompanied by two glasses of wine per person.
