Logan Square Restaurant Offers Entire Menu for $6

Dunlays On The Square, the restaurant and bar in the heart of the Logan Square neighborhood, proudly turns six this January 6. This birthday fete will feature every menu item at only $6, as well as every bar beverage at $6 (excludes bottles of wine). This unreal dining deal will be offered during lunch and dinner service (11:30am-Midnight, dine in only) and at the bar (11:30am-2:00am). Anything priced under $6 will remain at the regular price.

Everything’s $6 When We Turn 6

During lunch, the menu at Dunlays includes a large selection of things to share, such as buffalo shrimp, BBQ pork wraps, cold smoked salmon and steamed mussels, which are all $12 and under. Entrees vary from classic brunch dishes to hearty sandwiches and burgers, $7-14. There are four salad selections, $12 and under, such as lyonnaise, wrightwood and beet, in addition to house-made soups, sides and sweets. All of these items and more will be $6.

The dinner menu also has a large choice of items to share, ranging from grilled artichoke to spinach dip, baby back ribs and beer cheese with chips, $12 and under. Sandwiches and burgers, $9-$12, includes grilled chicken, blackened fish, slow roasted pork, corned beef reuben, traditional and veggie burgers. Four pizzas and four salads, $9-Mkt, are offered at dinner, in addition to entrees, $14-$24. The entrees are comprised of chicken roulade, mama lou’s wild mushroom meatloaf, vegetable crepes, rigatoni with fennel sausage, full slab of BBQ’d babyback ribs and grilled rib eye steak and frites. All of these items and more will be $6.

New Dinner Menu and New Bar Program at LOKaL

Contemporary Polish Cuisine in Wicker Park

LOKaL, a modern, European-inspired restaurant and lounge located in Wicker Park has recently released a new winter menu with Polish ingredients and flavors. Dinner fare features contemporary Polish cuisine prepared with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients and the restaurant will now offer in-house smoked and cured meats. The menu was conceptualized by LOKaL’s proprietors, Art Wnorowski and Gosia Pieniazek, who are a married couple with Polish heritage. Newly appointed Chef de Cuisine Rubin Torres (Epic, Bin 36, Sushi Samba Rio) will execute the dishes, available nightly (Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-10:00pm, Friday-Saturday 5:00pm-11:30pm and Sunday 5:00pm-10:00pm). Some of the new offerings include beet soup, slow roasted boczek, smoky polish kielbasa, steak tartar, goat cheese risotto, bison strip steak and bigos stew with venison loin. The bar program at LOKaL has also been revised. New signature cocktails (both chilled and warmed) feature creative combinations of Polish spirits. An expanded list of Polish vodkas are available in three formats (shoot, rocks, martini). The wine list offers only European varietals and the beer list, both bottled and draught, is comprised of European and Polish brews. Drink menus are listed below.

During the extended holiday brunches (Dec 26-Jan 2), anyone that orders a bloody mary will be offered a 32 ounce bottle of “foot stompin’ good” Smoke Daddy “Smokin’ Mary” mix for only $2 (regularly retails for $5). The brunch offerings for each restaurant are outlined below.
