New Belgium “Mini Tap Takeover” at Franklin Tap

Colorado Craft Brews, Educated Sipping Session

Wednesday, January 18
5-7 p.m.

No cost to attend
$5 New Belgium beers

It’s dark and cold outside, just like a pint of New Belgium beer. On Wednesday, January 18, from 5-7 p.m., Franklin Tap will welcome New Belgium Brewing Company for a “Mini Tap Takeover.” Participating pint-seekers will have the opportunity to meet and mingle with New Belgium representative Harry Mihailidis, taste the brews and learn what’s “new” at New Belgium through some libation education. The beer-focused event will highlight fan favorites and select seasonals, including Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Snow Day and Prickly Pear Saison (from New Belgium’s Lips of Faith series).  New Belgium pints will be priced at $5 for the entire day (11 a.m. to midnight).

New Belgium Brewing Company is a regional brewery located in Fort Collins, Colorado. It opened in 1991 after Jeff Lebesch, the brewery’s founder, took his home-brewing passion commercial. In 2009, it produced over 582,000 barrels of its various labels. As of 2010, it was the third-largest craft brewery and seventh-largest overall brewery in the United States. Fat Tire, an amber ale, is the company’s flagship beer.
