The Chicago Firehouse has two options for a warm and hearty Thanksgiving meal:
The first is a day-long holiday buffet that will run from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 24. Chef Kendal Duque’s menu includes a bevy of items, from breakfast dishes, salads and seafood to meats, side dishes and desserts. The buffet menu is outlined below. A kids’ table will be available for little pilgrims. The fee is $45.99 for adults and $19.99 for children 5-12. 18-percent gratuity will be added. Reservations can be made by calling 312.786.1401 or online at opentable.com.
The second option is to enjoy Chef Duque’s delights in your own home. The Chicago Firehouse offers “Thanksgiving To-Go,” a fully-cooked dinner that serves six to eight people. The menu includes Whole Slow-Roasted Turkey (12 to 14 lbs.) with Giblet Gravy; Field Greens with Sherry Vinaigrette, Blue Cheese and Spicy Candied Pecans; Fresh Sage Bread Stuffing; Whipped Garlic Potatoes and Maple Sweet Potatoes; Fresh Fall Vegetable Medley; Cranberry Relish and Whole Pumpkin Pie. The price is $175, plus tax. Place orders by Noon on Monday, November 21 (312.786.1401). Pick-up orders on Wednesday, November 23 or Thursday, November 24 (9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.).
