$20 Prix Fixe with Payment in Cash

$20 three course prix fixe (cash only)

With rising credit card fees affecting diners and restaurateurs across the city, Zocalo has created a way for locals to save on Monday evenings. As a part of a new dining event every week, a three course prix fixe menu will be offered for $20. This price applies to diners paying with cash.

The menu, listed below, is also available a la carte. Reservations are welcomed, not required. There is an ATM conveniently located across the street on Ontario. Tax and tip is not included.

Antojitos/ Appetizers

Guacamole de Esquites 8
Freshly diced avocado with roasted corn, cotija cheese and chile piquin; served with assorted chips

Empanadas de Birria 8
Two Jalisco style lamb and pork stew turnovers with cascabel-morita salsa

PlatosFuertes / Main Course

Tacos en Cazuela 16
served with whole black beans and homemade corn tortillas
Barbacoa: Beef brisket garnished with cilantro & onion and roasted red jalapeño salsa
Cochinita Pibil: Yucatan style pulled pork garnished with pickled red onions and habanero salsa
Tinga de Pollo: Chipotle marinated shredded chicken garnished with “guaca” salsa and red cabbage

Mixiote de Pescado 16
Ancho-guajillo marinated tilapia baked in a maguey leaf wrap and cooked with roasted corn, diced mango, red onion, garlic and Mexican herbs; served with garlicky white rice

Bistec a la Mexicana 16
Marinated grilled steak simmered in “ranchera” salsa with roasted tomatoes, onions and sliced jalapenos; served with Mexican rice and refried black beans
