Thursday, August 18
No cost to attend
Brewmaster Chris Rafferty will give craft beer fans the opportunity to be the first to try his newest brew. Rafferty and Rock Bottom Brewery Chicago will hold a tapping party from 6-7 p.m. on Thursday, August 18 to release his “Saison Jonquille” farmhouse ale. The Saison Jonquille is a light bodied, crisp, effervescent farmhouse ale with slight tart characteristics accented by spicing with lemongrass.
Rafferty has been making beer since 1994, when he got his start at Tennessee’s first microbrewery in Nashville. Since then, he has worked at various microbreweries and joined the Rock Bottom team in 2006. His beers have been awarded several gold medals at the Real Ale Festival, Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup competitions.
Rock Bottom’s monthly tapping parties are open to all, simply become a member of the “Mug Club” (anyone 21 and over will quickly be signed up in the brewpub prior to the tapping party).
