La Taberna Tapas is throwing a “paella party” in celebration of National Paella Day, one of the unique food-centric holidays highlighted throughout the year. Paella is a featured item at the restaurant, with made-to-order selections available daily.

At 12:00pm on Sunday, March 27, Chef Enrique Cortez will lead a hands-on cooking class instructing participants on how to prepare the perfect paella. During the class, Cortez will cover the house paella (La Taberna – saffron rice, pork loin, chicken, chorizo, shrimp, calamari, mussels, vegetables) and a vegetarian paella (Vegetariana – saffron rice, eggplant, artichoke, zucchini, roasted peppers, mushrooms). Guests will sip sangria cocktails and will also receive recipe cards to take home. Please call La Taberna to reserve a place in the class; the fee is $30.

During Sunday dinner service on National Paella Day, March 27, Chefs Enrique Cortez and Gustavo Castaneda will offer a special paella trio. The “flight” of paella ($18) will be available from 5:00pm to 10:00pm.
