Tropical Tequila Dinner at Salsa 17

Corzo tequila, known for requiring twice the amount of agave as other luxury spirits, will be featured at a special tequila dinner at Salsa 17 in Arlington Heights. The northwest suburban Mexican Grill and Margarita Bar will host the event at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 21.

Corzo tequilas (Blanco, Reposado and Anejo) will star in several inventive cocktails prepared by Salsa 17’s mixologists throughout the evening. The creative concoctions will be paired with five courses from Salsa 17 executive chef Jose Luna, including three starter courses, an entree and dessert. The full menu is detailed below.

Cocktail: Corzo Margarita
Corzo Blanco tequila, Grand Marnier and finished with fresh lime juice


Ceviche de Huachinango EstiloVeracruz
Lime and orange marinated red snapper mixed with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and cucumbers in an orange tomato juice

Chiles Aji Amarillo Rellenos con Cola de Langosta
Stuffed ahí  chile with lobster tail and queso asadero braised in caldillo de jitomate con tequila Corzo (tomato sauce with tequila)

Ensalada Caprese
Caprese salad con jitomate reliquia de familia (heirloom tomatoes) queso panela, miel de Jamaica and vinagreta de perejil y Limón

Cocktail: Margarita de Jamaica
Corzo Blanco tequila, Grand Marnier, Jamaica infusion, cranberry juice and finished with fresh lime juice

A sweet cocktail made with tequila Corzo Añejo, homemade chocolate abuelita and mocha kaluha licor
