The summer is heating up in the northwestern suburbs with the kick off of Arlington Heights’ Sounds of Summer Concert Series. The popular annual event, which takes place in Harmony Park at Vail Avenue and Campbell Street in the heart of the downtown district, attracts Arlington Heights residents and visitors alike for Unplugged Thursdays and Sounds of Summer Fridays. The concerts go from 7-8:30 p.m. every Thursday and Friday through Aug. 20 (weather permitting). 

Located just steps from Harmony Park is Salsa 17, Arlington Heights’ top spot for freshly prepared Mexican cuisine, made-to-order margaritas and a lively, vibrant atmosphere. Salsa 17 is the northwest suburbs’ premier Mexican restaurant, offering a taste of Mexico’s regional cuisines.
