Fizz Bar and Grill Debuts Beer Can Chicken Sundays

A Weekly Patio Party Featuring Food Off the Grill and Plenty of Beer

Every Sunday starting June 13
2-5 p.m.
$10 per person (includes one heaping plate of food)
The famously spacious beer garden at Fizz Bar & Grill in the Lakeview neighborhood will be put to good use with the introduction of Beer Can Chicken Sundays. The weekly patio party, which kicks off on Sunday, June 13, will feature the down-home dish served along with burgers and hot dogs fresh off the grill and a variety of side dishes.

Fizz chef Weslie Bellini will prepare her recipe for beer can chicken, which involves a whole chicken and a half-can of Hamm’s beer, for the weekly feast. For $10, each guest will receive a plate filled with sliced chicken, a burger and a hot dog, served along with Bellini’s variety of side dishes and salads, including baked beans, pasta salad and fried potato salad. And, of course, Fizz will be offering cans of Hamm’s beer to accompany the beer can chicken for $2 each. A children’s menu will also be available, featuring hamburgers and hot dogs for kids 12 and under.

Fizz Bar & Grill’s Beer Can Chicken Sundays will take place from 2-5 p.m. in the bar’s beautifully designed beer garden. The weekly event will begin on Sunday, June 13 and continue while the weather cooperates. Please note, the event will not take place on July 4 due to the holiday or on July 11 due to the Rock Around the Block street festival taking place at Lincoln and Belmont avenues July 10 and 11.

Fizz Bar & Grill is open Monday and Tuesday 5 p.m.-1 a.m., Wednesday through Friday 5 p.m.-2 a.m., Saturday 11-3 a.m. and Sunday 11 a.m.-midnight.
