D.O.C. Wine Bar, the sophisticated neighborhood bistro and lounge located in west suburban Lombard, will host a tasting featuring meritage wines from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 16. As part of its monthly series, the “Marriage-Meritage” tasting will dive into the fascinating world of cuvees, a term which refers to wines blended from grapes from different vineyards or varieties.
Guests will get the opportunity to try an exciting array of blended wines from California, Oregon and Australia, including Branham “Jazz” from Napa Valley, Lyeth Meritage from Sonoma County, Chester Kidder Blend from Columbia Valley, Caymus Conundrum from Napa and Grant Burge “Holy Trinity” from Barossa. D.O.C. wine director Tony Burger will lead the tasting, showcasing these diverse grapes for discerning drinkers. The event will also offer an assortment of appetizers from D.O.C.’s contemporary American menu.
