“Wonder Brew” to Benefit Breast Cancer Awareness
Tapping and tasting party Thursday, June 17, 6-8 p.m.
No cost to attend
“Wonder Brew” will be available for purchase daily following the tasting event
Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery’s newest beer is more than just the latest addition to brewmaster Chris Rafferty’s repertoire – it’s a drink with a mission. Rafferty will brew 33 barrels of his “Wonder Brew,” a refreshing raspberry wheat beer perfect for the summer months, which will serve to benefit breast cancer awareness and, in particular, Rock Bottom server Natalie Foertch.
Foertch was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer earlier this year at the age of 28. Rock Bottom’s River North location will be accepting donations to assist Foertch with her mounting medical bills and living expenses. Special pint glasses bearing the pink “Wonder Brew” bra logo will be on sale for $4 each, with proceeds also helping Foertch in her battle. In addition, Rock Bottom will donate proceeds ($0.25) of every pint of Wonder Brew ($5.50) sold to Tickled Pink Chicago, a local breast cancer awareness network.
Rock Bottom and Rafferty will unveil the new “Wonder Brew” during an exclusive tapping party on Thursday, June 17. The event will take place from 6-8 p.m., with Rafferty discussing and offering samples of his latest creation for a very important cause. Pints of “Wonder Brew” will be available for purchase every day following the event (while supplies last).
Rock Bottom’s monthly tapping parties, along with lots of other insider events, are open to members of its “Mug Club.” Anyone can join by signing up in person at Rock Bottom.
