An All-You-Can-Eat Pig Roast Starts the Summer With Some Sizzle
Saturday, June 5
$16 per person
Gather with friends and family on Dunlays on the Square’s sprawling sidewalk patio for a good, old-fashioned pig roast to help kick off the summer from noon-5 p.m. on Saturday, June 5.
This Logan Square landmark is sure to fill the neighborhood with the unmistakable aromas of barbecue, beckoning fellow pork fans to join in the alfresco festivities. The cost to attend is $16 per person, which includes an unlimited pig-out session with pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, housemade BBQ chips, coleslaw and cornbread. Popular local rock cover band The Kingfish will also entertain the crowd on Dunlays patio from 12 noon-3 p.m.
Of course, any self-respecting pig roast also offers plenty of beer, so Dunlays will be serving up $3 pints of Shiner Bock. This Bavarian-style brew hails from Shiner, Texas, a place that knows a thing or two about barbecue. Speaking of which, guests can enter to win one of two Shiner Bock grills so you can re-create your own pork-a-palooza at home.
Dunlays on the Square is open Sunday from 10:30 a.m.-midnight, Monday 4:30 p.m.-2 a.m., Tuesday through Friday 11:30-2 a.m. and Saturday 10:30-3 a.m.
