Dunlays on Clark, the friendly Lincoln Park corner bar and grill, will become your Kentucky Derby Day destination on Saturday, May 1 with Southern-accented dishes and drink specials, along with warm and welcoming surroundings to watch the big race. 

Time-honored traditions of the Derby will be certainly be adhered to here, including plentiful mint juleps (made with Maker’s Mark, $5 each) and shots of Jack Daniels ($4). Chef Grant Slauterbeck will serve up a Kentucky-inspired menu created especially for the occasion, including such customary dishes as Burgoo stew and his take on a hot brown. Guests can also create their own “Trifecta,” choosing three items from the special Derby menu to make their own three-course prix-fixe for $25 per person (excluding tax and gratuity). Dunlays on Clark’s Kentucky Derby menu includes the following:

Morning Lines Minis, $7
French country ham, Benedictine, toasted rye rounds

Claim Race Catfish, $8
Farm-raised catfish, breaded and bite sized, pickled walnut, tomato remoulade

Dunlays’ Hot Brown, $9
Smoked turkey breast, bacon, pimentos, grape tomato, Mornay sauce, grilled brioche

Backside Burgoo, $16
Braised pork shoulder, venison, okra, lima beans, bell peppers, cornmeal fritters

Derby Pie Cheesecake, $7
Chocolate, walnuts, pecan and caramel glaze

Trifecta, $25 per person (excluding tax and gratuity)
