The annual celebration of Mexican heritage known as Cinco de Mayo will be commemorated in grand fashion at River North’s Zocalo Restaurant and Tequila Bar. The holiday will serve as the official grand opening of Zocalo’s sidewalk patio, welcoming the season of alfresco dining and drinking.
Zocalo will offer $5 drink specials in honor of the occasion, including pineapple-lime margaritas, tequila sunrises and citrus palomas. Highlighted appetizers and entrees will also be offered in the bar area throughout the evening (menu outlined below).
The festivities will also feature live Latin music and a DJ spinning starting at 6 p.m., along with loads of giveaways, such as Zocalo gift cards, T-shirts, bottles of Casa Noble tequila and more.
Zocalo’s Cinco de Mayo celebration will take place during regular restaurant hours (11 a.m.-11 p.m.). Please call Zocalo at 312.302.9977 or visit the restaurant’s website (www.zocalochicago.com) to make your Cinco de Mayo reservation.
