Adam Seger’s Cocktail Class Series Continues at Nacional 27

Award-Winning Bar Chef Highlights Rhubarb for Next Session

Adam Seger and Nacional 27 continue their popular monthly cocktail class series in May by highlighting one of spring’s first crops: rhubarb. These hands-on courses, which showcase seasonal drinks demonstrated by the Latin restaurant’s award-winning bar chef, take place the second Thursday of every month.

The next class, utilizing this often-misunderstood vegetable, will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 13. Two of Seger’s custom cocktails, a Rhubarb Margarita, featuring Harvest Moon Farms rhubarb, Herradura Reposado tequila, maple and lime; and the now-famous “Strawberry-Rhubarb-Basil-Balsamic Mojito” will be demonstrated for guests to watch, learn and taste.

Seger’s “Strawberry-Rhubarb-Basil-Balsamic Mojito” and Nacional 27 were voted one of GQ magazine’s “20 Best Cocktails in America and the Best Places to Drink Them.” The article stated: “Adam Seger’s reinvented mojito puts those overpriced, watered-down South Beach versions to shame with a chef-like devotion to local produce.” Now, you can try your hand at re-creating the creative cocktail at Nacional 27.

Passed appetizers will also be part of the gathering, and pupils will receive recipe cards to make these delicious concoctions at home. The fee for Nacional 27’s monthly cocktail classes is $27 per person. To purchase tickets, visit N27chicago.com or call 312.664.2727.
