Zocalo recently introduced a three-course prix-fixe menu highlighting the simple pleasures of street-style fare inspired by the vibrant marketplaces and vendors of Mexico City.
Zocalo’s Mexico City “Street Fare” menu, which features such beloved rustic dishes as elotes (charred corn on the cob with mayonnaise, cotija cheese and chile piquin) and torta Capitalina (a traditional Mexican sandwich with a chipotle-black bean spread, breaded chicken, homemade chorizo, grilled ham and panela cheese), offers dining guests a selection of choices for a starter course, entree and dessert for $20 per person (plus tax and gratuity).
