Sabor Saveur Debuts New Three-Course Prix Fixe Menu and New Weekend Specials for April

With the arrival of warmer weather comes a lighter approach to the city’s seasonal menus. Sabor Saveur, the dramatic Mexican-French fusion restaurant in Chicago’s vibrant Wicker Park neighborhood, is welcoming spring with a fresh take on its nightly prix-fixe offering. A new three-course menu ($30 per person, excluding tax and gratuity) will be offered Thursday, April 1 through Friday, April 30 at this acclaimed BYOB restaurant every night from 5-7 p.m.

The prix-fixe menu items rotate monthly, featuring the nouveau Mexican cuisine of owner and executive chef Yanitzin Sanchez. The recently conceived three-course dinner consists of a salad, choice of entree and dessert. Sabor Saveur’s April prix-fixe menu is detailed below.

Sabor Saveur also announces the debut of new weekend specials that will be offered Friday, April 2 through Sunday, April 25. Executive chef Yanitzin Sanchez will create an appetizer and entree to be highlighted along with the regular dinner menu every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. April’s specials are also detailed below.

Sabor Saveur April Prix-Fixe Menu
Salad:

Avocado shrimp salad served with peanuts and pistachio and dressed with orange reduction and balsamic vinaigrette

Entree (a choice of):

Lobster enchiladas with hazelnuts and tropical chutney

Stuffed Duexell chicken accompanied by a lentil salad, carrots and red onion, topped with balsamic vinaigrette and epazote, and served with mashed garlic and yogurt 

Vegetarian lasagna served with chipotle-cilantro pesto

Dessert:

Tejocote, pulque and tamarind jelly mousse served with passion fruit and guajillo pepper sauce

Sabor Saveur April Weekend Specials
Appetizer: Jumbo shrimp tempura served with spicy tamarind sauce and mango sorbet, $12

Entree: Mole de Olla (sea bass stew with a relish of chayote, pumpkin flower, squash and corn, served in a pasilla pepper sauce), $23

Sabor Saveur is open Tuesday through Thursday from 5-10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5-11 p.m. and Sunday from 5-9 p.m. Reservations are recommended, not required.
