Six Chicago-Area Restaurants Take Off the Tax

Thursday, April 15
During regular restaurant hours

Whether your 2009 tax return took an even bigger bite out of your income or not, you can still save up to 11.5 percent sales tax on Thursday, April 15 (a.k.a. Tax Day) at the following six restaurants: Dunlays on Clark; Dunlays on the Square; Frasca Pizzeria & Wine Bar; The Smoke Daddy Rhythm and BarBQue; D.O.C. Wine Bars in Lincoln Park and west suburban Lombard.

Once you’re done checking your last box and signing on the dotted line, all you have to do is choose your favorite venue in which to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of affordable dining and drinking options. These six restaurants all invite taxpayers in to relax and enjoy lunch or dinner (or just a few cocktails to drown your sorrows or toast your good fortune), all while enjoying no sales tax for one celebratory day.
