Twenty-four hours just isn’t enough for Timothy O’Toole’s most hallowed holiday, so St. Patrick’s Day will be celebrated as St. Patrick’s Week at O’Toole’s, the friendly Gurnee pub known for its annual salute to St. Pat. From Thursday, March 11 through Wednesday, March 17, you’ll have the luck of the Irish on your side as Timothy O’Toole’s presents an array of food and drink specials, entertainment, contests and more for seven days of debauchery.
Kicking off on Thursday, March 11, guests will have their pick of drink specials, including $4 jumbo green beers served in souvenir take-home mugs and $5 shots of Jameson, which will be available all the way through St. Patrick’s Day. Irish-accented food specials will include a hearty Irish breakfast and, of course, corned beef and cabbage.
Live entertainment will get revelers in the right spirit throughout the seven-day celebration, as well. Expect to find bag pipers and a leprechaun joining the party, as well as green beer chugging contests. A bevy of beads and other giveaways will also enliven the festivities.
On Saturday, March 13 and Sunday, March 14, get an early jump on St. Patrick’s weekend at O’Toole’s, as the pub will be serving its famous weekend brunch (10 a.m.-2 p.m). The satisfying menu is complemented by a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar ($7.50) and a “bottomless” mimosa and bellini bar ($14).
Timothy O’Toole’s will be open Thursday, March 11 and Friday, March 12 from 11-1 a.m., Saturday, March 13 from 10-2 a.m., Sunday, March 14 from 10 a.m.-midnight and Monday, March 15 through Wednesday, March 17 from 11-1 a.m.
