D.O.C. Wine Bar Lombard Offers a Taste of the Good Life

Live Jazz, Wine Tasting and “Open That Bottle Night”

D.O.C. Wine Bar in Lombard will be a magnet for bon vivants all month long, as the charming bistro and bar continues its “Wine and Jazz” series every Thursday evening in February, hosts an innovative “Warm Weather” wine tasting and participates in the nationwide “Open That Bottle Night” promotion.

The free-to-attend “Wine and Jazz” performances take place Thursdays from 7-9 p.m., with rotating jazz bands performing a variety of music featuring guitar, sax, keyboard and horns. D.O.C. Wine Bar guests are invited to stay and dine or simply sip from the stellar selection of wines. The jazz series continues with this month’s scheduled performers: February 11 – Elaine Dame, February 18 – Marshall Vente’s Tropical Duo and February 25 – Chris Bernhardt Duo.

On Wednesday, February 17, wine director Tony Burger will lead guests through a “Warm Weather” wine tasting, featuring varietals from more balmy climates. The tasting, which will go from 7-9 p.m., is priced at $20 per person and includes a tasting of several wines along with paired appetizers.

And, finally, on Saturday, February 27, D.O.C. Wine Bar will welcome guests for “Open That Bottle Night,” an annual occasion especially designed around popping the cork on that special bottle. D.O.C. will offer no corkage fee and 50 percent off of selected bottles during regular business hours.

D.O.C. Wine Bar is open from 11:30 a.m.-1 a.m.
