It has been said that the best way to get to know wine is by drinking it, and D.O.C. Wine Bar in Lincoln Park is the perfect place to get acquainted. Led by Sommelier Greg Sorrell, D.O.C. Wine Bar’s monthly wine tastings traverse many of the world’s top wine-growing regions, giving seasoned oenophiles and budding connoisseurs alike a chance to survey varietals from across the globe.
On Monday, February 15 from 7-9 p.m., D.O.C. Wine Bar will ask “what do America, Australia, and France have in common?” Enjoy the similarities and differences this well traveled grape produces from these three diverse regions. This second wine tasting of 2010 will highlight Syrah, Shiraz and Hermitage, such as M. Chapoutier Petite Rouche Crozes-Hermitages, Black Chook Shiraz/Viognier, Grant Burge “Holy Trinity,” Penner-Ash Syrah and The Ojai Vineyards Syrah.
Please call D.O.C. Wine Bar for tasting reservations (not required).
