Every Tuesday, 7-9 p.m.
Free to attend
Wicker Park’s Smoke Daddy is almost as well known (and loved) for its exemplary beer list as it is for its award-winning barbecue. And, on Tuesday evenings, the laid-back restaurant really gets to show off its brews clues.
Each week from 7-9 p.m., Smoke Daddy hosts a beer tasting, highlighting new, rare and small-production brews created by esteemed brewers from across the country (as well as right in our own backyard). These tastings are free to attend and offer specials on pints of the featured beers ($6) and beer flights ($10).
Upcoming beer tastings at Smoke Daddy include:
Samuel Adams Imperial Series on January 26
Two Brothers Brewing Company’s “The Bitter End” Pale Ale on February 2
“Big Hugs,” a new brew from Half Acre Beer Company on February 9
Louisiana Brewery “Abita” for a Fat Tuesday Celebration on February 16 with a Cajun/Zydeco band
Dogfish Head Ale House on February 23
New Belgium Brewing on March 2
Peak Organic Brewing Company on March 9
Smoke Daddy is open on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. Tuesdays at Smoke Daddy also feature $6 pulled meat nachos and live music at 9 p.m.
