Quince restaurant in Evanston will host a four-course sake dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 4. This special dinner will be led by sake brewer Hitoshi Ohai,President of Chokaisan. The menu, prepared by Executive Chef Andy Motto and Sous Chef Josef Dugolenski, features four exquisite dishes that pair perfectly with the subtle and elegant nature of sake.

The complete sake dinner menu is outlined below. The fee is $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity.

Garden to Table Dinner at Quince

Food Off Their Vine Paired with Wine

Quince restaurant maintains two on site gardens, one on the roof of The Homestead Hotel, and one in front of the restaurant, just off the veranda. This season is the second year of the “Quince Garden Project,” and a September celebratory garden to table dinner will feature the homegrown bounty.

On Thursday, September 8, Chef Andy Motto and his culinary team will mark the end of the growing season with a three-course dinner that utilizes the garden’s fruit, vegetables and herbs. Quince wine director Scott Quint will pair wine with each of Chef Motto’s garden fresh courses. The menu is below.

The evening will begin at 6:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $45 per guest. Please call Quince to book your reservation.

Vinic Wine Shop Hosts Dinner at Quince

Motto’s Cuisine Paired with Local Specialty Store’s Wines

$75 per person, all inclusive

Quince restaurant and Vinic Wine Company wine shop, both located in the heart of Evanston, will join together for a three-course wine dinner on Tuesday, August 30. Starting at 6:30 p.m., Sandeep Ghaey of Vinic Wine Company will lead a wine-and-dine event featuring Barnett Vineyards wines. Executive Chef Andy Motto has created a menu that pairs with each of the varietals, including chardonnay, pinot noir, merlot and caberent.

Bike and Breakfast at Quince

Bicycle Ride to Evanston Farmer’s Market, Followed by Cooking Class at Quince

Bring your bicycle for a unique cooking class at Quince on Saturday, August 13. Sous Chef Joe Dugolenski and Pastry Chef Lisa Bonjour will lead peddling participants from Quince Restaurant to the Evanston Farmer’s Market. There, they will explain what to look for in fresh, farmer’s produce as well as dish tips on shopping at the local market. Once the ingredients are selected, the group will ride back to Quince. The Chefs will teach breakfast fare in Quince’s kitchen and the guests will participate in the cooking and enjoy breakfast.

To participate in the class, you must have a bicycle. The morning event will begin at 9 a.m. The fee to attend is $20. Please call Brenna at Quince (847-570-8419) to reserve a place in this special class.
