New Year’s Eve Dining at Cantina Laredo

Chef’s Menu Offered for Entire Holiday Weekend

Cantina Laredo, the new River North mecca of modern Mexican cuisine offers a fun and festive way to finalize 2011 and welcome 2012. In addition to the a la carte lunch, dinner and brunch offerings available throughout New Year’s weekend, Executive Chef Larry Sinclair has created a three-course prix fixe menu that is paired with creative, tequila cocktails. This special set menu will be available from Friday, December 30 to Sunday, January 1 for $49 per guest.

New Year’s Eve table reservations are welcome. The dining hours for New Year’s weekend are Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to Midnight
and Sunday 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

On New Year’s Eve, Saturday, December 31, Kit Kat Divas Traci Ross and Madam X will delight lounge and supper club celebrants as they impersonate female pop icons including Madonna, Tina Turner, Beyonce, Lady Gaga and more during this year’s “Glitter and Glam Gala”.

Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club’s Executive Chef, Mark Kasper, will present a four-course dinner menu during two seatings (7 p.m. and 10 p.m.). Party guests will enjoy a complimentary Hpnotiq champagne cocktail to toast the end of 2011 and the start of 2012. The 7 p.m. seating is $75 per guest and the 10 p.m. seating is $95 per guest. Tax and gratuity is not included in the dinner.

New Year’s Eve Dining at Quince

Executive Chef Andy Motto has created a special set menu for New Year’s Eve dining guests at Quince. Four courses, paired with a flute of bubbly, will be offered from 5-10 p.m. on Saturday, December 31. The fee is $70 per person. Wine pairings ($20) and a full vegetarian menu ($70) are also available. Both menus are outlined below. The regular dinner menu will not be offered and the last seating will be taken at 10 p.m.

Quince, located at The Homestead Hotel, will also offer an overnight stay package that includes dinner for two with champagne toast, room accommodations, breakfast for two on Sunday, complimentary garage parking and wireless internet access. The New Year’s Eve package is $250 (per two guests). A bottle of celebratory champagne may to added to the room upon arrival for an additional $50. Suite upgrades are also available upon request (additional fee).

New Year’s Eve Dining at Park Grill

A Celebratory Evening Under the Bean

Park Grill’s New Year’s Eve dinner parties, taking place in the heart of Millennium Park under the “bean” and adjacent to the picturesque outdoor ice rink, will consist of two custom packages.

The first dinner, the Wine and Dine package, is a family-friendly affair. Seatings, taking place between 6-9 p.m, will include a children’s menu ($5.95) complete with kid’s mocktails and gourmet hot chocolate ($4 each) for the little celebrants. Adult guests may partake in the three-course tasting menu ($50) with optional wine pairings ($35). As an added bonus for early New Year’s Eve guests, select bottles of wine will be available at a 50-percent discount. Entertainment will be provided by the Lizz & Rex Jazz Trio. The second dinner party option is Park Grill’s Countdown Package. Taking place after 9 p.m., a five-course tasting menu ($80) will be offered with optional wine pairings ($45). The entire evening will be set to sultry sounds, with live Latin music performed in the bar/lounge from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., live DJs setting beats to get your hips shaking staring at 10 p.m., and DJ Konsept spinning in the Año Nuevo with the sultry sounds of Latin America!

New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day at ZED451

This New Year’s Eve weekend, ZED451 will celebrants an elaborate, multi-course dinner in the main dining room, along with a premium party package in the Fireside Lounge, followed by a bountiful brunch on New Year’s Day.

On Saturday, December 31, ZED451′s New Year’s Eve dinner experience will be offered for $75 per person (plus tax and gratuity).  The menu will include unlimited selections from the seasonal Harvest Tables, a lavish raw bar, an abundance of chef’s entrees served tableside and mini pastries for dessert.  In addition, each guest will receive a complimentary flute of champagne to toast to 2012.  Table reservations will be accepted between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m. and may be made through Open Table or by calling (312) 266-6691.

ZED451′s New Year’s Eve party package will be offered in the cozy, Fireside Lounge from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Revelers ringing in the new year will enjoy passed hors d’oeuvres, a deluxe open bar (blueberry gin mojito, spiced apple sangria, premium spirits, wine, imported and domestic bottled beer), party favors, DJ and midnight champagne toast. The following day, ZED451 will start off the new year with an unforgettable brunch experience. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Sunday, January 1, dining guests may partake in a mid-day meal that includes a bounty of breakfast and lunch selections. Brunch is $29 per person (plus tax and gratuity), mimosas will be offered for $3 and house-made bloody marys, complete with gourmet garnish, will be $5 each. Returning guests that purchased the New Year’s Eve dinner or party package will receive bottomless bloody marys at brunch.

New Year’s Day is all about football, and ZED451′s 80-foot screen will show every play of the games (including our own Chicago Bears taking on the Minnesota Vikings at noon). Once all of the holiday hoopla dies down, it’s time to treat yourself to a festive meal to commence the new year. To get 2011 off to a sumptuous start, Nacional 27 is offering a special three-course prix fixe menu priced at $20.11 per person.

Featuring some of the River North Latin hot spot’s signature dishes, such as smoked chicken empanadas, grilled marinated skirt steak and Gunthorp Farms suckling pig, Nacional 27’s 2011 prix fixe menu is an affordable way to celebrate new beginnings.

The “Feliz Año Nuevo” menu will be served Monday through Thursday during regular restaurant hours (Monday through Wednesday 5-9:30 p.m.; Thursday 5-11 p.m.) from January 3 to February 24, 2011.
