Michael Diversey’s Tavern, an official “Chicago Blackhawks bar,” celebrates the beginning of Blackhawks season with two game viewing events, complete with raffle prizes, giveaways and drink specials.

First, on Friday, October 7 at 7:30 p.m., the restaurant will kick off the Blackhawks season with an opening night celebration, featuring a complimentary champagne toast, raffle for prizes (including items signed by Blackhawks legend Bobby Hull), grand goal celebrations and more. Michael Diversey’s is officially bringing the United Center to the tavern’s fans with 23-ounce Big Bud Lights ($5, available on game days throughout the season).

Then, on Thursday, October 20, Michael Diversey’s will host the “Blackhawks City Roadwatch Night” at 8 p.m. Created to offer Hawks fans living in the city a central location to watch their favorite team on the road, this event will include all the fun of a Hawks home game, including the Bud Light Ice Crew Girls, Blackhawks merchandise giveaways, intermission contest and goal celebrations. 23-ounce, Big Bud Lights will be available for $5 (served on game days throughout the season).

Michael Diversey’s Tavern will air all Chicago Blackhawks games, with sound, all season long.

Watching the big game is always more fun with festive fan reactions to every exciting play. This Fall, football is in full effect at Michael Diversey’s Tavern. Whether collegiate football is your favorite, or only the NFL league will do, this newly opened, Chicago-style tavern offers sporty specials on game-days.

HDTV screens are easily viewed from every seat in the house. The tavern offers NFL Sunday Ticket, Big 10 Network, ESPN GamePlan and more. Michael Diversey’s celebrates and supports the Michigan State Spartans on Saturdays and the Chicago Bears on Sundays.

Saturdays
College ball and MSU fans may enjoy $5 “Big Sparty” Beers, $4 Craft Beer of the Day, $5 Ketel One Bloody Marys, $4 Signature Tall Mimosas, $5 Long Island Iced Tea Mugs and $4 Stoli Bombs, all flavors.

Sundays
NFL and Chicago Bears fans have the choice of $5 “Big Bear” Beers, $4 Craft Beer of the Day, $16 Craft Beer Pitcher of the Day, $4 Signature Tall Mimosas, $5 Ketel One Bloody Marys, $5 Long Island Iced Tea Mugs and $4 Stoli Bombs, all flavors. Need a little competition of your own? Sunday night is Trivia Night (8 p.m., cash and prizes awraded).

The full menu, offered open-close, will pair well with Michael Diversey’s pigskin specials. The tavern’s wide-range of offerings include chorizo mussels, honey sting wings, reuben rolls, stockyard sliders, salmon burger, half-pound Angus Chicago hot dog, crab cake sandwich, parmesan-crusted grilled cheese and tomato-basil soup, portobello mushroom sandwich, habanero pulled pork, large entree salads, sky-high meatloaf, Gaelic chicken and sea scallops.
