Adam Seger Holds Herb Adoption at Nacional 27

Adam Seger and Nacional 27 invite guests for cocktails and tapas, plus the option to leave with a potted herb! This “adoption” party is looking for loving homes for the herbs that have been residing in the N27 Mojito Garden.
Enjoy complimentary passed tapas from 5:30-7:00pm while sipping cocktails (many with homegrown or local herbs). Interested “parents” will receive a free potted herb, adoption certificate, herb care guide and Adam Seger’s herb cocktail recipes (such as the Mojitonico and the Garden Mojito.)
Guests are invited to stay for dinner as “Feast like a Farmer” is offered until 9:30pm. Diners will receive four courses to share with wine pairings and “Farm to Bar” Sangria, priced at $36.95 per person (two guest minimum).
Reservations are not necessary. Herbs will be adopted on a first-come, first-adopted basis. The restaurant and lounge will be open 5:00pm-9:30pm.
Farm-to-Bar and herBARio Programs 2009/2010
Adam Seger, one of the leading bar chefs in the country and award-winning restaurant/lounge Nacional 27 have teamed with a local farm, Harvest Moon Farms, to present their “Farm to Bar” project.
The 20 acre certified organic farm in southwest Wisconsin is led by Chicago foodies Bob and Jennifer Borcardt. They have channeled their passion for farm fresh food and sustainable agriculture through heirloom vegetables and 49 varieties of produce.This new partnership and program brings farm artisan produce and herbs to Adam Seger’s world of mixology, known as “herBARio”.
Harvest Moon Farm is located on a driftless region on the south fork of the Bad Axe River. The site is ideal as it holds the perfect balance of acres on pristine, fertile land, with a 4,500 square foot barn, packing facility and kitchen. Harvest Moon Farms offers members a share in the growing season, enjoying the weekly produce as it is available, sometimes within 48 hours of harvest. Nacional 27 has a custom plot on the farm and utilizes produce and herbs for their creative, seasonal cocktails.
